EXPERIENCE
Newsweek
Reporter (January 2008-August 2010)
Reported, wrote, and produced daily coverage of international policy and politics for Newsweek.com, including both written essays and multimedia projects. I was part of the four-person team that launched the Wealth of Nations blog on global economics. My proudest work was the San Joaquin Valley project, which you can read about more here.
Reuters
Intern/Freelancer (June-November 2007)
Based in the Reuters bureau in Buenos Aires for six months, starting as an intern then graduating to glorified freelancer to cover Cristina Kirchner’s presidential election. I reported feature stories and produced multimedia packages with Reuters television. I also did daily reports on stocks, bonds, and currency and translated stories from Spanish on deadline. Bylined articles ran in the Washington Post, Yahoo News, and Boston Globe, among others.
